UniverSoul Circus Comes to Houston

UniverSoul Circus is a single-ring circus founded in 1994 by Cedric Walker, with a focus on featuring a large percentage of performers of color. Its first performance was in the parking lot of Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, and it has since expanded to tour over 30 cities annually. The show combines acrobatics, comedy, and music in a high-energy, family-friendly atmosphere.

A special featuring the circus debuted in 1998 on cable TV network HBO. The circus made its first international tour in 2001, visiting South Africa. By 2005, it had grown to 32 cities. UniverSoul Circus continues to bring its unique blend of entertainment to audiences nationwide, celebrating diversity through the art of the circus.
