Feast of The Conversion of St Paul- Ħal Safi

The Feast of the Conversion of St Paul honours this village saint with a traditional Maltese celebration. On Sunday 30 August 2026, Ħal Safi transforms with religious ceremony and street festivity. A solemn procession carries the saint's statue through decorated streets, often accompanied by a marching brass band club.

Colourful lights, bunting, and flower arrangements brighten buildings and balconies. Throughout the day, food stalls serve traditional Maltese specialities: qubbajt (nougat), imqaret (fried date pastries), and local savouries. As evening falls, fireworks — both ground-based petards and aerial displays — light up the sky.

Entry to the feast and village streets is free, though food and specific events may carry modest costs.
