Jonah Kagen is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born January 10, 2000, in Savannah, Georgia. He has recorded and toured as a solo artist since 2021 and is signed to Arista Records, blending indie, folk, pop and country influences.
Kagen released a run of EPs, Georgia Got Colder (2022), Made Up My Mind (2023) and Black Dress (2024), before his single "God Needs the Devil" topped Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart in 2025 and reached number 30 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. An earlier single, "The Roads" (2023), had reached number 24 on Alternative Airplay.
Kagen writes, plays and produces his own material, and since 2024 has lived and recorded largely from a converted Airstream trailer while touring the country, treating the improvised mobile setup as a creative asset rather than a limitation.
His debut full-length album, Sunflowers and Leather, was released in 2025 and was written while traveling the United States in the Airstream; its single "You Again" reached number 37 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart. Kagen has accumulated hundreds of millions of global streams and roughly 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners.
