Informazioni su Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo
Guitarist Neil Giraldo joined her band before her debut album and became her essential creative partner, co-writing and playing on every subsequent record. The two married in 1982 and have continued to perform and record together, billed jointly as Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, and have two daughters.
Benatar's breakthrough came with In the Heat of the Night (1979), followed by Crimes of Passion (1980), which produced the signature single "Hit Me with Your Best Shot." Precious Time (1981) and Get Nervous (1982) extended the run of hits, including "Love Is a Battlefield," "We Belong," and "Fire and Ice," establishing Benatar as one of the defining voices of early-1980s rock radio.
She has won four Grammy Awards for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, and in 2022 Benatar and Giraldo were inducted together into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They continue to tour as a duo, with Giraldo serving as bandleader, guitarist, and producer.
