Sister Carol + Cimarons

Sister Carol + Cimarons is a double bill of socially conscious reggae at Théâtre National - Grande Salle in Brussels on 17 October 2026, 20:30. One ticket covers two concerts. Sister Carol opens the evening with conscious reggae and dancehall, with messages of emancipation, social justice and women's rights. The Cimarons follow. They are billed as pioneers of British reggae, born from the Jamaican migrant experience in the United Kingdom, and their songs tell stories of hope, resistance and the realities of the Caribbean diaspora. Sister Carol's first album, Liberation for Africa, was released in 1983.
