The Anogyra Pasteli Festival celebrates the carob harvest in the village of Anogyra, a traditional carob-growing area in Cyprus. The main attraction is the demonstration of pasteli making, a long and complex process that transforms carob juice into a thick, golden sweet. Visitors can watch the traditional method, which involves boiling carob honey and hand-working the pasteli mass until it acquires its characteristic color.

Beyond the pasteli demonstration, the festival offers a taste of local culture with traditional Cypriot music and dances, as well as a live concert by famous Greek singers. Attendees can sample "shereppeti" (sweet carob juice) and "Terzellouthkia" (spiral dough cookies with carob honey), and purchase carob syrup to take home. The event takes place in the village square, providing an authentic village atmosphere.
