Tanca els ulls i escolta Vallvidrera

This sensory walk through the Vallvidrera neighborhood invites you to close your eyes and listen. As part of the Xarxa d'Equipaments Ambientals de Barcelona (XEAB), the route explores the sounds of the area—the wind, birds, and water from fountains—offering a chance to escape the traffic noise of the city. Participants learn about the challenges of managing acoustic pollution in urban environments and how to interpret strategic noise maps.

Guided by experts, attendees discover the subjective value of sounds and noises, and get hands-on experience using a sound level meter and its measurement scale. The walk starts at the Vallvidrera Superior station of the Funicular de Vallvidrera, a fitting departure point for a journey into the quieter side of Barcelona.
