Peeping Tom: Chroniques at Matadero Madrid

Belgian dance-theatre company Peeping Tom brings its latest creation, Chroniques, to Centro Danza Matadero in Madrid. Known for hyperrealist aesthetics and extreme choreographic language, the company presents five figures trapped in a temporal labyrinth, mutating and colliding as they challenge immortality. Their existence unfolds in a vast sulphurous landscape, developed through a series of short chronicles or chapters, raising questions about whether this terrain is ground for new creations or remnants of what once existed.

Confronted with different physical laws and phenomena, the performers' bodies reveal other behaviours and possibilities of being, without knowing if they are at the dusk or dawn of their existence. Audiences witness a bodily metamorphosis in an abyssal and poetic dimension. Founded by Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier, Peeping Tom has previously presented unclassifiable productions like Triptych and S 62°58’, W 60°39’ to great public and critical success.
