Juke-box Contemporain: Interactive Concert with Ensemble

The Ensemble Intercontemporain kicks off its jubilee season with a unique interactive concert at the Philharmonie de Paris. Celebrating 50 years since its first performances under Pierre Boulez, the ensemble invites the audience to shape the evening by voting for their favorite works from the group's repertoire, transforming the concert into a living juke-box of contemporary music.

British DJ Mariam Rezaei joins the soloists for this unprecedented experience, blending electronic and classical sounds. The program also features a new creation: "Dérive 3" by Pierre Boulez for brass and percussion, a piece that develops from arpeggios extracted from his earlier cantata "Le Visage nuptial." The evening promises a festive atmosphere as the ensemble revisits its greatest hits.

Led by conductor Pierre Bleuse, the performance offers a rare chance to hear the renowned Ensemble Intercontemporain in an intimate, audience-driven setting. This event is part of a series of concerts at the Philharmonie, a landmark venue in Paris's 19th arrondissement.
