S.G. Goodman with Thomas Dollbaum at Chickie Wah Wah

S.G. Goodman returns from the Western Kentucky bottomland with her latest full-length album, Planting by the Signs. Rooted in the old practice of timing garden work by the moon’s cycle, the album pairs vulnerable folk with punchy rock ’n roll, chiming guitars, and ethereal atmospherics. She has opened for Tyler Childers and Jason Isbell on the road.

Goodman plays at Chickie Wah Wah with New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Thomas Dollbaum, whose indie-rock and alt-country songs search for acceptance in the in-between places of the South. The club seats guests at non-reserved tables assigned on arrival, making for a relaxed, listening-room atmosphere.
