The California Honeydrops with Jontavious Willis

The California Honeydrops are a blues and R&B band founded by Lech Wierzynski, and they play without a set list — no two shows are the same. Horns, keyboards, guitar, bass, and percussion give the music a warm, retro-soul texture, as the band works through original songs and timeless classics.

Joining them at Tipitina's is Jontavious Willis, a blues musician from rural Georgia who performs original, toe-tapping tunes rooted in Delta, Piedmont, Texas, and Gospel Blues. With his deep Georgia roots and a style that reaches back to the spirit of the past, Willis brings an acoustic, tradition-minded energy to the night.
