Panoramica

Panoramica

The Midnight: Time Machines is a Music / Pop / Electro Pop event at House of Blues Houston in Houston.

Leggi tutti i dettagli

The Midnight bring their cinematic synthwave to Houston for the Time Machines concert. The duo — Tyler Lyle and Tim McEwan — first connected at a co-writing workshop and built their sound around the retro synth aesthetic popularized by the film Drive. Their music leans into nostalgia and melancholy, a feeling they describe with the Japanese phrase 'mono no aware': a wistful awareness that nothing lasts forever.

Their catalog spans early EPs such as Days of Thunder and albums like Endless Summer, Nocturnal, Kids, Monsters and Heroes, along with the newer Syndicate. Singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee, who guests on the Syndicate single 'Runaways,' is also on the bill. With McEwan now focused on studio work, the live lineup includes drummer Kwesi Robinson, keeping the band's live sound intact on stage.
