Leggi tutti i dettagli
Steel Pulse, the legendary British roots reggae band, formed in Birmingham in 1975 and quickly became known for their politically charged lyrics and Rastafarian beliefs. They were closely aligned with the Rock Against Racism movement, headlining its first festival in 1978, and made history as the first non-Jamaican act to win a Grammy for Best Reggae Album. Their debut album, *Handsworth Revolution*, helped define reggae outside Jamaica.
This Honolulu concert is part of their "Reggae Against Racism Tour," a continuation of their decades-long mission to fight racism through music. Fans can expect an energetic set blending classics like "Ku Klux Klan" and deep cuts, delivered with the band's signature rhythmic intensity. Opening act Seven Suns will set the stage for an evening of conscious, uplifting reggae.
