The Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 is a free, non-profit European sport and culture festival held in the Troodos mountains. Organised by the MountMed Institute and funded by Erasmus+, this four-day event includes mountain biking, hiking, orienteering, traditional games, and a two-day gastronomic celebration called Taste, Move & Thrive. An opening International Scientific Symposium on health and active living is also part of the programme, along with educational workshops and cultural experiences at various sites across the Troodos region.
Activities are designed to be inclusive for people of all ages and abilities, with specific offerings for families, older adults, and persons with disabilities. Participants from eleven organisations across ten European countries come together to promote healthy lifestyles in a mountain setting. The festival runs from 23 to 26 September 2026 during the European Week of Sport.
