Hawthorne Heights
Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio, in 2001 under the name A Day in the Life. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist JT Woodruff, bassist Matt Ridenour and lead guitarist Mark McMillon.

O Hawthorne Heights
The band is generally classified within emo, post-hardcore and alternative rock, though its members have described themselves simply as a rock band. Its first two albums, The Silence in Black and White (2004) and If Only You Were Lonely (2006), both achieved RIAA gold certification, with the latter reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The single "Saying Sorry" also went gold and reached No. 7 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
Rhythm guitarist Casey Calvert died in November 2007 at age 26; the band memorialized him with the songs "Four Become One" and "Sugar in the Engine" on its third album.
Hawthorne Heights has continued releasing music and touring, including the 2021 album The Rain Just Follows Me.
