Matt Mathews
Matt Mathews is an American comedian, photographer, and singer-songwriter born in the early 1990s in Birmingham, Alabama. He began working as a wedding and boudoir photographer as a teenager, later operating his own studio in downtown Birmingham, and published a 2019 memoir, Uncovered: The Naked Truth of Life, Love and Addiction, drawing on his experiences with poverty and his mother's addiction.

O Matt Mathews
During the COVID-19 pandemic he began posting comedic videos about farm life and growing up gay in the South, with one clip drawing more than 13 million views and launching his stand-up career. He mounted his first national tour, When That Thang Get Ta Thang'n, in 2023, and recorded a comedy special at the Alabama Theatre in 2024 after signing with Creative Artists Agency.
His follow-up tour, Boujee on a Budget, sold out a 52-city run before further dates were added. Encouraged by singer Jewel, Mathews has also pursued a country music career, releasing the singles "Joke's On Me" and "What a War." He lives on a farm near Birmingham with his husband, Rob Killgore, and is a competitive barrel racer and opossum rehabilitator.
