O Orgy

The band's 1998 debut album, Candyass, sold close to two million copies and was certified Platinum by the RIAA, driven by a synth-heavy cover of New Order's "Blue Monday" and the original single "Stitches," both of which charted on MTV's Total Request Live. The 2000 follow-up, Vapor Transmission, reached number 16 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold.

Beyond Orgy, Gordon produced Coal Chamber's debut album, played bass in the synth-rock group Deadsy, and briefly joined bandmate Ryan Shuck and Scott Weiland in the project The Wondergirls; he also founded the label D1 Music with his father in 2003. Shuck and Derakh left Orgy in 2010 to pursue other projects, leaving Gordon the sole original member retaining rights to the band name.

Orgy released the EP Talk Sick in 2015 and has continued touring behind its late-1990s and 2000s catalogue with a changed lineup around Gordon. A 2023 festival appearance drew scrutiny from some fans and critics over its reliance on backing tracks, underscoring ongoing debate about the band's current live setup.
