Parker Yancey McCollum is an American country singer-songwriter born June 15, 1992, in Conroe, Texas, and based in Austin. Raised near Houston on classic country artists such as Willie Nelson and red dirt acts like Cross Canadian Ragweed, he learned violin in elementary school, guitar at thirteen and harmonica at fifteen, and was performing at local venues by age sixteen.
He released his first single, "Highway," in June 2013 and his debut EP, A Red Town View, that November. His first album, The Limestone Kid, followed in 2015, and Probably Wrong (2017) reached No. 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. McCollum signed to MCA Nashville in 2019 and released his major-label debut, Gold Chain Cowboy, in 2021.
Subsequent albums include Never Enough (2023) and a self-titled record (2025), which won Album of the Year at the 2026 ACM Awards. He previously won New Male Artist of the Year at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year. McCollum cites George Strait as his primary influence, alongside Ryan Bingham, Townes Van Zandt and John Mayer.
