The Courteeners
Courteeners are an English rock band formed in 2006 in Middleton, Greater Manchester, led by singer and guitarist Liam Fray. Early acoustic sets around Manchester bars gave way to a sound blending indie rock, post-punk revival and post-Britpop, often produced by Stephen Street.

O The Courteeners
Their debut album, St Jude (2008), won the Guardian's inaugural First British Album Award and later became, on reissue, the album with the longest gap on record between release and reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart, in 2023. The band has since built a reputation for very large live shows, including a 50,000-capacity gig at Emirates Old Trafford in 2017.
