Tobias Mann is a German cabaret artist, comedian and musician, born on 17 August 1976 in Mainz. He studied business administration at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and worked there as a research assistant, but did not complete a doctorate because of his stage career. He performed at Mainz Carnival as a child in 1989 and first appeared on the television programme Mainz bleibt Mainz, wie es singt und lacht in 1997.
His stage programmes include Man(n) sieht sich (2005), Chaos (2018) and Mann gegen Mann (2021). On television he co-hosted the ZDF late-night show Mann, Sieber! with Christoph Sieber from 2015 until it ended in December 2020, and he has presented the WDR 5 radio format Kabarettfest since 2012. Since February 2024 he has produced the podcast Grundlos gute Laune with Philip Simon.
Mann has received several cabaret awards, among them the Prix Pantheon audience award in 2008, the Salzburger Stier and the Bayerischer Kabarettpreis in 2014, and the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis in the cabaret category in 2017. The jury of the 2017 prize called him an important voice of his generation.
