Teatro: El Tartufo in Madrid

Molière's classic comedy of hypocrisy comes to Madrid's Centro Cultural el Torito, performed by the Grupo de Teatro del CDL Madrid. The play follows Orgón, who welcomes the false devotee Tartufo into his home, only to be dominated by his hypocrisy and ambition. With sharp irony, Molière exposes the abuses of those who hide behind religious and moral appearances, portraying the power of lies and the impunity of manipulators.

This production, lasting 110 minutes, is staged by a company founded in 2007 by teachers with a passion for the stage. Over the years, they have performed comedies, classics, and poetic-musical works across Madrid and other regions, including pieces by Miguel Hernández, Federico García Lorca, and Molière. Their involvement in numerous amateur theater festivals has established them as a group dedicated to cultural outreach.
