Old Forest Echoes – Ikimetsän kaiku: Immersive Nature Concert – Caisa 30 Club is a concert experience at Cultural Centre Caisa in Helsinki on 1 November 2026. The day begins at 13:00 with a family workshop. The concert is the vision of multi-instrumentalist Barbora Xu (Barbora Šilhánová), who spent four months on artistic research in Finland's old-growth forests. It centres on kantele, Chinese zither and voice, with video and sounds of the woods. The performance takes place inside an indoor forest installation made from natural materials by environmental artist Tommi Laine. Mikko Haapoja's soundscape installation combines field recordings from Barbora's time in the forest with footage by cinematographer Ville Tanttu. The concert lasts 60 minutes. On Sunday 1 November, music workshops are also held, including a longer session for adults and a shorter one for families with children. The sessions run 45 or 90 minutes and are instructed in Finnish and English. The project is supported by Kone Foundation in collaboration with Luontoliitto.
