The Comedy Store Players: London Improv Comedy

The Comedy Store Players are a celebrated improvisational comedy troupe that has been performing at The Comedy Store in London since October 1985. The group, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025, holds a Guinness World Record for being the world's longest-running comedy show with the same cast. Audiences can expect a lively, interactive evening where performers create sketches, songs, and characters based on audience suggestions, with games like Freeze Tag, Guess The Job, and Musical.

The current regular cast includes Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, Richard Vranch, and Ruth Bratt, who joined in 2024 as the first new permanent member in nearly 30 years. Past members have included Mike Myers, Sandi Toksvig, and Paul Merton, who occasionally appears as a guest. The show runs approximately two hours with an interval, featuring six or seven games with no host or points—just pure, spontaneous comedy.

Beyond their weekly Sunday shows at The Comedy Store, the Players have performed annually at Shakespeare's Globe and other UK venues, and have toured nationally and internationally. Their blend of quick wit and audience participation makes each performance unique, offering a quintessential London comedy experience.
