The Mountain Goats

The Mountain Goats play Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on 19 October 2026 at 19:00. Tickets start from GBP 39.37. The Mountain Goats are an American indie folk band formed in Claremont, California, by singer-songwriter John Darnielle. Since 2003, the band has been based in Durham, North Carolina. For many years Darnielle was the sole member, despite the plural name, and he has since worked with a range of collaborators, including bassist and vocalist Peter Hughes and drummer Jon Wurster. Throughout the 1990s the band produced low-fidelity home recordings, and since 2002 it has taken a more polished approach, often recording studio albums with a full band.
