Vapors of Morphine Live in Athens

Vapors of Morphine brings the legacy of the iconic alternative rock band Morphine to Athens. Formed in 2009 by saxophonist Dana Colley and drummer Jerome Deupree, alongside blues guitarist Jeremy Lyons, the band carries forward the deep, minimalist sound that defined Morphine. Lyons sings and plays a custom 2-string slide bass, mastering a unique instrument to honor the band's roots.

Attendees can expect a night of moody, sax-driven rock with a bluesy edge. The current lineup features Tom Arey on drums, who joined in 2019 after Deupree's departure. The band has toured extensively across the US, South America, and Europe, performing at festivals like New Orleans Jazz & Heritage and Voodoo Experience.
