Mitos 1 – Acreditem em nós

In this Portuguese-language theatre piece, the three great Greek gods—Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades—descend to Earth in search of followers, desperate because no one believes in them anymore. To win back believers, they recount their own stories, from the creation of the world to the fierce power struggles among the gods, their astonishing love conquests, and the invention of man and woman.

Written and directed by Claudio Hochman, the production features a cast of three actors: Manuel Venade, Mariana Robert Preto, and Afonso Ruivo Cardoso. The performance takes place at the Museu de Lisboa - Teatro Romano, a museum built around the ruins of an ancient Roman theatre, adding a layer of historical resonance to the mythological themes.

Attendees can expect an intimate theatrical experience in a unique archaeological setting, blending classical mythology with contemporary storytelling. The show runs on multiple evenings throughout July, offering several opportunities to catch this creative retelling of ancient myths.
