Jesse Roper Brings Blues to Portland

Canadian blues guitarist and songwriter Jesse Roper brings his guitar-driven sound to the Jack London Revue in Portland. Raised in rural Metchosin, British Columbia, Roper picked up the guitar as a child but avoided the stage until his late twenties, working as a painter for eight years before committing to music full-time. His breakthrough came with the album Red Bird, launched at a sold-out hometown show that cemented his reputation as a live performer.

Since then, Roper has become a regular on West Coast festival bills and has opened for artists including Keith Urban, Colin James, Tower of Power and Beth Hart. His recordings range from Red Bird to Horizons, alongside a string of recent singles.
