Mountain Grass Unit brings their high-energy bluegrass to Cafe Du Nord, blending instrumental firepower, improvisation, and jamgrass energy with song-driven roots music. The Birmingham-born quartet—mandolinist Drury Anderson, guitarist Luke Black, bassist Sam Wilson, and fiddler Josiah Nelson—creates a sound that is both forward-looking and deeply rooted in tradition.

Their debut album *Appalachian Smoke*, produced by six-time Grammy winner Vance Powell, features guests from Greensky Bluegrass and Grammy-winning fiddler Michael Cleveland.
