Nitzer Ebb Brings EBM to San Francisco

Nitzer Ebb are one of the defining acts of electronic body music, the aggressive, rhythmic strain of post-punk that took root in European clubs. Formed by Essex school friends, the band built its reputation on pulsing synth lines and shouted vocals, with early tracks like 'Join In The Chant' crossing over into the Balearic and Chicago house scenes.

This San Francisco show brings the band's current live incarnation to the stage, with core members joined by a percussionist to replicate the machine-like onslaught of their records. Expect a hard, physical set drawing on a career that runs from their debut album through to their reunion-era album, favouring pounding drum machines and declarative vocals over subtle textures.
