Adonis Rose Septet Featuring Melanie Scholtz

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro on Frenchmen Street hosts a soulful evening of jazz, song, and collaboration as Melanie Scholtz joins the Adonis Rose Quintet. The program draws from Sweet Nancy, their tribute to the legendary Nancy Wilson, and includes original music from Scholtz's acclaimed album Seven, which won Best Adult Contemporary Album at the 31st South African Music Awards. Expect a dynamic blend of jazz, soul, and South African influences.

The septet features Adonis Rose on drums, Melanie Scholtz on vocals, Ashlin Parker on trumpet, Derek Douget on tenor saxophone, Rex Gregory on alto saxophone, Seth Finch on piano, and Jason Stewart on acoustic bass. This performance is part of the Happy Hour Concert Series and is sponsored by the Jazz Foundation of America. Seating is first come, first served, and tips for the band are encouraged, going directly to the musicians.
