Alexey Marti & Afrogumbo at Snug Harbor

Cuban-born percussionist Alexey Marti brings his high-energy fusion of timba, jazz, funk, Afro-Cuban folklore, salsa, son, rumba, and New Orleans rhythms to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro. A member of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and bandleader of his own collectives, Marti has called New Orleans home since 2008, and his original compositions reflect that blend of cultures. Expect a dance-worthy show that incorporates modern New Orleans percussion into flavorful Cuban conga and rumba music.
