Blue Man Group Las Vegas

Blue Man Group brings its long-running, wordless spectacle to the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, where three bald, blue-painted performers lead a show that fuses pounding drumming, visual comedy and unexpected art. The company first found its voice on the streets of New York in 1987, and its trademark trio of mute, blue-painted performers has since toured internationally.

Onstage, the Blue Men explore the modern world with a mixture of innocence and mischief. Expect themes of science and technology — plumbing, fractals, human sight and the internet all get their due — alongside playful bits that pull audience members into the action. A classic bit sees the Blue Men attempt an elegant dinner of Twinkies, and rock-concert tropes are recreated according to a laughably literal instruction manual.

While the performers never speak, their shows are anything but quiet, mixing live drumming, visual gags and careful choreography. The Las Vegas production at the Luxor is one of the few remaining U.S. homes of a company that has also performed with orchestras around the country.
