Daikaiju are an American surf punk band who have been making a noise since 1999, and their live show is the stuff of theatrical chaos. The members wear kabuki masks, keep their identities secret, never speak onstage, and are known for setting their instruments on fire mid-set — they call their concerts 'attacks'.
Their surf-punk sound has drawn comparisons to Man or Astro-man?, and they've taken it overseas, touring China, South Korea, and Japan along the way. For this Madison stop they're joined by Roboman, promising a loud, guitar-led night of punk.
The High Noon Saloon will play host, and if the band's reputation is anything to go by, expect a show that feels more like performance art than an ordinary gig — best enjoyed from a respectful distance.
