Acclaimed jazz pianist Hiromi brings her Trio Project to Blue Note Hawaii, showcasing her explosive live performance style. Over two decades, Hiromi has earned a reputation as one of the most explosive live performers in jazz history, with accolades including a Grammy and an Olympic performance. For this engagement, she leads a band of musicians from diverse backgrounds – French-born bassist Hadrien Feraud, Chicago-born drummer Gene Coye, and Brooklyn-raised trumpeter Adam O’Farrill – collectively known as Hiromi's Sonicwonder. The group's deep chemistry and fearless interplay, honed over years of touring, promises an evening of jazz-rock fusion, funk, and beyond.

The set draws heavily from Hiromi's latest album, 'Out There,' which features a four-part title suite exploring themes of curiosity and adventure. Expect rapid-fire melodies, ’70s fusion grooves, and bold sonic textures, with O'Farrill's trumpet adding acoustic and electronic elements.
