Mahmoud “Mood” Chouki brings his cigar box project to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, a set built around handmade cigar box instruments. The Moroccan guitarist and composer, who teaches at the Lycée Français de la Nouvelle Orléans and curates music for the New Orleans Museum of Art, leads a band featuring Brett Gardner on cigar box guitar, Rurik Nunan on cigar box violin, Martin Masakowski on z3 bass, and Gerald Watkins on trash kit drums.
