Moulin Rouge! The Musical Returns to Boston

Moulin Rouge! The Musical brings the glitz, glamour, and heartbreak of Paris's legendary cabaret to Boston. Based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, this jukebox musical follows Christian, a young composer who falls for Satine, the star courtesan of the Moulin Rouge, amid the bohemian splendor of the Belle Époque. Audiences can expect a spectacle of song, dance, and romance, featuring a medley of pop hits woven into a timeless love story.

The production premiered at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre in 2018 before becoming a Broadway sensation, winning 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical. The touring show recreates the extravagant sets and costumes of the original, transporting viewers to the iconic red windmill where "all your dreams come true." With a book by John Logan and direction by Alex Timbers, the musical captures the film's vibrant energy while adding new theatrical magic.
