Sunflurry: A Genre-Defying Performance in Cleveland

Sunflurry brings a unique blend of prog rock, folk, jazz, and classical styles to Treelawn Social Club in Cleveland. The band, led by Ruby Rendrag on guitar, vocals, and footdrums, and featuring Suki Kuehn on cello, delivers a dynamic performance that mixes original compositions with distinctive interpretations of artists like Kate Bush, U2, and Yes.

Ruby Rendrag, a New Orleans native with Houma Indian and West Virginian heritage, brings over 18 years of musical experience, incorporating bluegrass roots and ’80s underground textures. Suki Kuehn, a former Navy submariner turned cellist, plays an old French cello that once lived in a barn south of Paris, adding a unique depth to the band's sound. The performance also features analog foot drums hand-built by Pete Farmer.

The set includes original music, interpretations of Kate Bush, U2, and Yes, and reimagined songs by local songwriters.
