« Après moi, le déluge » by Ballet national de Marseille

This dance piece by the collective (LA)HORDE, their third creation for the Ballet national de Marseille, transforms the stage into a world turned upside down. Dancers dig into the floor, flipping it so that what was ground becomes ceiling, creating a new space traversed by apocalyptic imagery. The work questions what to do when our world wavers, drawing on themes of communities, uprisings, and contemporary figures like whistleblowers and hackers.

The performance is driven by an original score by Pierre Aviat, where music holds as much importance as movement. It celebrates dance as a collective force, offering an energetic response to the gloom of the times. The piece invites audiences to rise together in a shared surge of energy, embodying a joyful transgression against a cynical society burdened by crises.
