Читать все подробности
Step back in time to the court of Louis XIV with an evening dedicated to the history of hot chocolate. Led by historian and food sociologist Katherine Khodorowsky, this event traces the journey of cacao from an Aztec spice to a royal delicacy at the Château de Versailles. Through readings from the Marquise de Sévigné's letters, you'll discover how this warm beverage became far more than a simple treat.
After the literary journey, a 17th-century spiced chocolate recipe—the very one that delighted the Sun King's court—will be prepared live. Attendees are then invited to taste this historic concoction, blending history, gastronomy, and sensory experience in the elegant setting of the Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris.
