Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury is a Shropshire market town almost encircled by a loop of the River Severn, its medieval street plan lined with over 660 listed buildings and Tudor timber-framed houses. It is the birthplace of Charles Darwin and still holds a Norman castle and abbey founded in the 1070s-80s.
