Hermanos Gutiérrez

Hermanos Gutiérrez brings the Gutiérrez brothers’ cinematic instrumental music to Portland. Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez, Ecuadorian-Swiss siblings, formed the Latin duo in Zürich.

Their set blends Latin rhythms with Western and Spaghetti Western textures, all carried by intertwined electric guitar, lap steel, and percussion. The minimal, vocal-free approach lets the guitar lines tell the story — Rolling Stone has described it as music that sings without needing a singer.

The duo has built a following through albums like El Bueno y el Malo and Sonido Cósmico, collaborating with artists such as Natalia Lafourcade and Leon Bridges. This Portland date is a chance to hear their warm, borderless sound up close.
