Fally Ipupa, the Congolese superstar known as the "Prince of Rumba," brings his fusion of Congolese rumba, soukous, and ndombolo to London. His career began in 1997 with the band Talent Latent, and he later joined Koffi Olomide's Quartier Latin International. His debut solo album, Droit Chemin, sold over 100,000 copies within a month.
Attendees can expect hits from his catalog, including "Chaise Électrique" and "Sexy Dance," which became signature songs. Ipupa's show features his tenor vocals and dance moves. He is the most-streamed French-speaking artist on Boomplay and the most-followed Congolese artist on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Ipupa also founded the Fally Ipupa Foundation, which aids marginalized groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His eighth studio album, XX, topped the SNEP Top Albums chart, making him the first African artist to achieve that feat.
