Budapest Half Marathon 2026

The Budapest Half Marathon, sponsored by Wizz Air, is an annual road running event held in September. The route starts and ends in City Park, winding through the city center with stunning views of Andrássy Avenue, the Opera House, the Danube from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, and the Parliament. The atmosphere is energetic, with thousands of runners and spectators lining the streets.

Since its early days as a side event, the race has grown significantly, now attracting over 7,000 participants. Runners can choose to compete individually or as part of a relay team of two or three. The event is also wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all athletes.
