Padova
Padua is a university city near Venice built around Giotto's frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel, the pilgrimage Basilica of Saint Anthony, and one of the world's oldest botanical gardens. Its University of Padua, founded in 1222, still shapes a student-heavy, arcaded old town centred on the vast Prato della Valle.
