Verona
Verona is a Roman and medieval city in the Veneto, built around a first-century amphitheatre, the Arena, which stages open-air opera through the summer. Its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, centres on Piazza delle Erbe, the Shakespeare-linked Juliet's House and Roman remains such as the Ponte Pietra.
