Pedro Caldeira Rodrigues: Fotógrafo Improvável

This exhibition at Casa da Imprensa brings together images captured over several decades by a journalist and international politics reporter who, without ever seeking a photographic career, amassed a vast visual archive of geographies, conflicts, people, and moments encountered along the way.

The show inaugurates the "Fotógrafo Improvável" (Unlikely Photographer) series, an annual initiative by Casa da Imprensa and Associação CC11 that presents the photographic work of someone from another professional field whose visual journey deserves to be discovered. Pedro Caldeira Rodrigues's photographs accumulated over travels, reportages, and personal moments, forming a parallel diary of a life dedicated to observing the world.

Visitors can explore this collection of improvised yet compelling imagery, open Monday to Friday, offering a unique perspective on a life spent documenting global events and everyday scenes alike.
