Rita Barros: Hyperosmia at Lisbon's Municipal Archive

Rita Barros presents *Hyperosmia*, an exhibition that explores the intensification of smell through a visual journey where the invisible takes shape. Featuring an unpublished photographic series and an artist's book, the show invites visitors to reflect on how environmental stimuli cross the body and shape our relationship with space.

Curated by Sofia Castro, the exhibition positions photography as a territory of sensory and introspective experience. Between suggestion and detail, the images call on viewers to activate their own senses, making each visit a personal exploration of perception and memory.

Held at the Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa - Fotográfico, the exhibition runs from April to September 2026. Guided tours are available, including sessions designed for blind or visually impaired visitors, offering an inclusive approach to this immersive artistic journey.
