Benjamin Tod & Lost Dog Street Band

Benjamin Tod fronts the Lost Dog Street Band, playing guitar and singing alongside Ashley Mae on fiddle and vocals and Jeff Loops on bass. Their sound lives in the bluegrass world — Weight of a Trigger reached number five on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart.

The band started as a duo between Tod and Mae and took its name from their yellow Lab, Daisy. Tod spent early years hopping freight trains and busking, and the group has built its catalog through crowdfunding. His solo album I Will Rise was recorded with two microphones and no overdubbing.
