Smerz, the Norwegian duo of Henriette Motzfeldt and Catharina Stoltenberg, bring their sophomore album *Big city life* to Washington. Their music blends one-finger piano riffs with strings, drums, and voices, telling stories of love, apathy, solitude, and friendship.
