Betty Shirley, a renowned jazz vocalist and visual artist based in New Orleans, brings her rich, expressive voice and improvisational style blending jazz, blues, R&B, and bossa nova to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi and raised in Chicago, Shirley studied music in New York before settling in New Orleans in the early '90s. She has performed at iconic venues like Snug Harbor and festivals including Jazz Fest and Essence Fest, sharing stages with legends such as Ellis Marsalis and Benny Green.

Tonight's performance features Betty Shirley on vocals alongside the Will Thompson Trio: Will Thompson on piano, Quinn Sternberg on bass, and Simon Lott on drums.
